Recipes of the Week, Vol. 9

I haven’t done one of these posts in a while! I love trying to come up with menus from the week, even though lately they seem to be more ambitious than I have time for. I’m eager to start making delicious comfort food again, though, now that the weather has cooled down. Below are three recipes I’m looking forward to making.

Ina Garten’s take on Julia Childs’ boeuf bourguignon is one of my favorite dishes. It still tastes amazing although it only takes a few hours rather than a day + to make! I love pairing this with my go-to soda bread.

Some whiskey (I love Irish whiskey) is perfect for chilly night, and I love to pair it with smoked salmon on wheaten bread. Now that we’re not just around the corner from the Russ & Daughters at the Jewish Museum (I miss it SO MUCH!!!), I’m eager to try making my own.

And as it’s apple season, who can resist spiked apple cider? We love our local cider mill and I can’t wait to try this recipe.
